You may lose weight but when you stop the workout program or go off the fad diet, you will gain it all back and more.
To lose one pound of fat, you need to burn 3500 calories over what you already burn during your daily activities. So you have to keep track of the calories of your food intake daily. Regular exercise is an important tool to loose weight. It is recommended that you have 250 minutes of exercise per week. Gradually add time each week to let your body adapt. Do not take any drastic measures or go on a yo-yo diet. Perseverance is the key.
